We had a stooooopid talk at the Infirmary today. But on the way back as we cut through Nelson Mendela Park this girl suddenly suggested something which I had been quite tempted to do since I got here but was worried that I would look mad doing. SO PAISEH I talk to her so many times but I still do not know her name =O

Anyway, she suddenly asked whether we wanted to swing in the playground (which we were walking past and which, incidentally, garners us a fantastic view of the looming side wall of the prison). That was one of the reasons that had been putting me off swingning there. The bloody playground is just in the middle of nowhere. Like it is there on purpose to 整 the prisoners. Not that anyone ever plays there. It is, after all, extremely exposed to the cold.

So 3 of us went to swing! Was kinda embarrassing at first coz people we knew were still passing through the park. But no matter. I bet they also want to swing.

Hahaha... The swings are quite good quality, actually! They are really high off the floor so you dun have to bend your legs outwards in a V shape each time you swing back down, unlike in Singapore. Can just swing your legs anyhow (ok it helps that I am vertically challenged as well. The main drawbacks were the location and the cold. The chains were metal and I was too lazy to wear my gloves.

After that we did something horribly childish but was great fun too! We went on one of those typical English merry-go-rounds where you have to push the thing yourself then hop on. And the merry-go-round is children-sized so 3 of us were staring at each other's faces upclose while spinning. Surprisingly, it actually spun really fast and for a pretty long time as well and I actually got quite dizzy from that.

THIS should be Uni life mannn. XD
