| Still about life last week. Pretty eventful. I went for Teddy Bear Hospital on Thu, which was great! The aim of tbh is to dispel the fear children have of going to clinics and hospitals in a fun and interactive way! The children bring their sick and usually injured teddies and play the role of parent or doctor whereby they go to the various stations (heart, bones, operation table, history taking and.... smt) and we treat their bears (haha i typed beard at first) like how they would be treated in a clinic. This clears their misconception they might have of scary and unfriendly hosptials and educates them about general healthcare and makes them all want to be doctors. Ook... That's about as far as the advertisment goes. So I went and got freaked out by the ang moh children at first. I eventually got the hang of it (I tink) but as usual, my patience did not last long and by the time I reached the 4th group I gave up remembering all the names and stopped asking the names of all the bears. And there were some awkward pauses where I had to consult my sheet but still. The children were quite sweet and said "Thank you very much! I really enjoyed working with you!" even though I dun tink they really did. Or maybe that is just me being paranoid. Ang moh children are so good-looking! And so I spend a meaningful afternoon.. Also, I finally went for training again! Felt so fit and exercised after that. Was fun even though I played like shit. And the gigantic ang mohs always take pity on me and ask if I'm all right with doing 10 pushups and tell me that every ball I serve over the net is good. Ah well. Always nice to be pampered. I guess I look really itsy compared to them. Speaking of which, I went clothes shopping before CNY and realise shopping in Western countries is good for your self-esteem coz you feel like all the weight you thought you gained was, in fact, imaginery. Hahahahahahahhahaha..................... Really going dry dock now. Like all my new things I got for CNY! XD |
