Topicless. I have nothing to blog about..

My foot is still swollen. I walk normally with an ankleguard but otherwise still with a slight tilt to my right.

Mm... Work is ending. School is starting No pressure as yet coz I am resolutely ignoring September the 27th.

I am currently casting about my bored mind for something blog-worthy that happened...

Ah. MRTs. Taking the MRT always makes me bad-tempered and impatient. I was going down the escalator towards the MRT platform one day when the swarms of passengers squirming about made me suddenly picture ants wriggling about aimlessly in their clusters. Ew.

Anyway, I hardly need to explain why taking the trains (particularly during the rush hours) make me more shit-temepered. However, it just so happens that MRT windows, especially when underground, are wonderful for checking your reflection. My point being how hard it is to decide whether to keep scowling because of my bad mood, or to maintain a pleasant expression during the reflective ride.

Today, on a relatively empty train, all of us boring grey passengers were heading off to a typical boring grey day on a boring grey ride on the MRT when at Raffles Place MRT we suddenly heard a loud ' 'Scuse me!' and turned only to find a woman hurtling towards the only available seat in the carriage. Well, she wasn't hurtling but she wasn't walking calmly in like the rest of us do either. She dodged in front of the lady who 'Scused her to settle proudly in her plastic seat.

Dunno why these few days the train keeps stopping in the middle of the track. Especially in tunnels.. Each time that happens I worry about a cunning terrorist who managed to sneak a bomb into the City Hall tunnel. My colleague said it's because of F1. I dunno.. Are trains affected too? Just a random thought, which is faster, F1 racecar or MRT? My guess is F1, though someone once described the MRT as being able to go 'faster than a cheetah' :/

I think... I am getting used to the new young MRT announcer. The voice of the nice old ang moh lady who used to tell us not to eat or drink in the stations and trains seems to be fadin away. Or maybe it is just my poor memory. The new girl is quite pleasant, in a heartland kind of way. Just that sometimes, when whoever is in charge forgets to adjust the volume of the speaker when the volume of passengers change, it gets a little annoying. It's ok if the volume remains soft, coz most of us can see the station we're at and most of us are ok with not being constantly reminded to be on the lookout for any suspicion person or article and to please report to staff or call 999. When, however, the crowd suddenly shrinks, without a corresponding shrink in volume of the announcements, I always want to box the announcer who keeps shouting over the bloody speakers even though she is just a recording.

And there u have it. MRT gripes.
